이날 행사에는 부모님과 선생님, 전교 학생들 그리고 관계자분들께서 모두 참석했다.
학예발표회를 위해 약 1달간 연습했고, 이날 댄스·연극, 카드섹션 등 여러 무대가 이루어져 학생들의 또 다른 추억이 만들어졌다.
또 영남학예전시회에서는 각 반별로 학생들 작품이 전시됐다.
학예발표회에서 제가 ‘꿈을 이루기 위해’라는 주제로 발표한 영어 말하기 원고를 소개해 본다.
Reach for the stars.
Hello, everyone. I‘m OH Jisu. I am in the 6th grade at Youngnam Elementary school.
What comes to mind when you think of dreams? It could be what you dream about while sleeping or something that you hope to be in the future. I would like to present the latter, my future dream.
My dream is to be a university professor. I really loved teaching others from my early childhood. At the beginning, my dream was to become an elementary school teacher and ended up with me wanting to become a professor.
When I was a 5th grade student, I was highly interested in history. It was because I learned about Korean history through the textbook for the first time. I realized how interesting our history was.
One day I saw ’History Journal‘ on TV by chance. Shin Byeong-ju, a Konkuk university history professor, appeared as a guest for the television program. After that I enjoyed watching the program. I took a keen interest in him as he explained historical events. I promised myself that I would fulfill my dream while regarding prof. Shin as my role model. Also I have a dream that I will study about difficult historical events both interesting and unrevealed.
If I become a ,professor, I will continue to de research historical events and subjects and teach my university students about my findings. We should never stop learning in general, regardless of our age and profession.
One of my favorites is to conduct research on Jung Mongju, a loyalist of the Goryeo Dynasty. When you know history in the late Goryeo and read the poem ’Dansimga‘, you would see there is no one more faithful than Jung Mongju in the world. I would like to read Dansimga to everyone.
My body may die, again and again, One hundred times again, and may turn into but a pile of bones and dust,
My soul may or may not live on, but
My loyalty to my country shall remain unchanged forever
This got me thinking.
History provides the living with wisdom and knowledge.
I Will continue to do my best to make my dream come true some day.

꿈을 이루기 위해
안녕하십니까. 저는 안동영남초등학교 6학년 오지수입니다.
꿈 하면 무엇이 떠오르세요? 잠잘 때 꾸는 꿈이 생각날 수도 있고, 장래희망을 생각할 수도 있겠죠. 저는 여기서 저의 장래희망을 뜻하는 꿈에 대해 소개를 할까 합니다.
저의 꿈은 대학교수입니다. 저는 어렸을 때부터 다른 사람을 가르치는 것을 좋아했습니다. 처음 꿈은 초등학교 선생님이었으나 대학교수로 꿈을 더 키워나갔죠.
5학년 때, 처음 사회 교과서에 국사가 나오기 시작하면서 저는 역사가 굉장히 흥미롭게 여겨졌습니다.
어느 날, 텔레비전을 보다가 ‘역사저널 그날’이라는 프로그램에서 우연히 건국대학교의 신병주 역사학 교수님께서 역사적 사건들에 대해 설명하시는 것을 보게 되었습니다. 역사를 쉽게 잘 풀이해 설명해 주셨습니다. 그래서 신병주 교수님을 저의 본보기로 삼아 대학교수의 꿈을 키워나가야겠다고 결심했습니다. 또한, 흥미롭고 잘 밝혀지지 않은 어려운 역사적 사실들에 대해 좀 더 공부하겠다는 꿈도 가지게 되었습니다.
제가 교수가 된다면 , 역사적 사건들과 주제에 대하여 연구를 계속하고 학생들에게 제가 조사한 것에 대하여 가르칠 것입니다. 우리는 나이와 직업에 상관없이 배우는 것을 멈춰서는 안 될 것입니다.
제가 좋아하는 것 중의 하나는 고려왕조의 충신인 정몽주에 관하여 조사하는 것입니다. 기울어가는 고려 말 역사를 알고 단심가를 읽으면 한 임금을 생각하는 신하가 또 있을까라는 생각을 하게 될 것입니다.

역사는 살아가는 우리에게 지혜와 지식을 줍니다. 언젠가 꿈이 이루어지길 바라며 저는 최선을 다해 계속 노력할 것입니다.
